Shenyang Zoo (in simplified Chinese?????) is located in Shenyang City in Wanquan Street, covering an area of 620,000 square meters. The park was formerly known as Wanquan Park, which was built by a citizen called Shen in 1906. After the liberation of Shenyang, the rapid development of the city boosted the reconstruction of the park. In 1973, the place was turned into a zoo. Then, the authority decided to move the precious animals from Zhongshan Park and Labor Park to this Shenyang Zoo. It was a large-scale migration, but it was a success.

At that time, there were already a modern Panda museum, a giraffe Hall, Waterfowl Lake, Lion Hill, as well as monkey mountain. At present, the entire park has more than 130 kinds of animals on display, including a number of national protected animals and foreign rare animals, such as the northeast tiger, panda, Cougar, Turkey, Chile, leopard, seal, red-crowned crane, golden monkey, lip deer, mantle from Japan as well as baboons.

Inside the Zoo, the view is magnificent and the beautiful flowers provide a very relaxing environment for visitors to enjoy the tour inside the various places in the Zoo. In Shenyang, there are actually not many zoos, and this one could be called as the most comprehensive. There are a lot of entertainment areas and you would be able to enjoy your visit. Of course, as mentioned above, there are thousands of visitors every day, so you might feel that this zoo is quite crowded especially during peak seasons.
